The student peace prize 2007

Please take a few minutes to learn about the only Peace Prize in the world to and from students.
The Student Peace Prize is to be awarded for the fifth time during the International Student Festival in Trondheim (ISFiT) 2007. The prize is awarded every second year on behalf of all Norwegian students, and is the only peace prize in the world to and from students. In giving this prize we wish to highlight the important role of students in the struggle for peace, democracy and human rights. Students efforts are widely underestimated, even though students often have the ability and opportunity to think differently, and thus to create a more peaceful world. Awarding the Peace Prize helps to get support and recognition for idealist students who work for peace and basic rights. The Peace Prize receives nominations from all over the world, and we make a tremendous effort to learn about good candidates. The nominee must be a student or a student organization who or which has made an outstanding contribution to peace, democracy or human rights.
A committee consisting of students and prominent persons in Norwegian politics and society chooses the winner of the Student Peace Prize 2007. The recipient receives an invitation to come to Norway to accept the prize at the Peace Prize Ceremony during ISFiT 2007, and will also travel throughout Norway to meet with important organizations and decision makers.
Previous winners have met with the Norwegian Prime Minister, the Minister of Development and the crown prince Haakon Magnus, to name a few. The media is very attentive to the Peace Prize and its winners. Receiving this prize is a unique opportunity to make contacts, increase media awareness and spread knowledge about oneself and the situation in one's home country.

Qendra Shqiptare për të Drejtat e Njeriut (QSHDNJ) është organizatë jo-qeveritare, e themeluar në mars të vitit 1992 me mision për të nxitur njohjen dhe edukimin me institucionet, standardet dhe procedurat e të drejtave të njeriut, në procesin e zhvillimit të një shoqërie demokratike, ka kënaqësinë të lajmërojë një thirrje për ESE.
Ky konkurrim zhvillohet në kuadër të “Javës Evropiane” në Shqipëri (2-8 maj 2006) dhe ftohen të marrin pjesë përfaqësues të komunitetit studentor, pedagogjik, intelektual, mediatik, të shoqërisë civile, etj.

• Pjesmarrësit në këtë konkurrim duhet të dorëzojnë një ese të mbështetur në temat e sugjeruara më sipër. Çdo ese duhet të përmbajë titullin e esesë, emrin dhe adresën e autorit, si dhe bibliografinë e shfrytëzuar për shkrimin e esesë (nëse ka të tillë).
• Eseja duhet të paraqesë vizionin qytetar (konceptual dhe analitik) lidhur me procesin e integrimit.

Te dashur miq,
Gjate muajit maj, Levizja Mjaft do te angazhohet ne nje fushate
kombetare ne mbrojtje te mjedisit, duke synuar qe te: (I) rrise
ndergjegjesimin e qytetareve dhe interesin e tyre mbi problemet e
mjedisit; (II) te ndryshoje sjelljet e njerezve dhe te nxise qendrime
pozitive kundrejt ambjentit; (III) te mobilizoje komunitetet ne
ndermarrjen e aksioneve vullnetare per te mbajtur paster qytetet e
tyre; (IV) te lehtesoje dialogun mes qytetareve dhe institucioneve
per te rritur pjesemarrjen publike ne vendim-marjen mbi ceshtjet e
ambjentit.
Per te arritur qellimet e mesiperme, MJAFT ka planifikuar te
implementoje keto aktivitete:
- Karvani Kombetar i Mjedisit qe do te nise ne Tirane per te udhetuar
ne qytetet e Shkodres, Rreshenit, Peshkopise, Durresit, Pogradecit,
Beratit, Vlores, Gjirokastres, Korces dhe Fierit.
- Forumet Publike ne keto qytete mes autoriteteve lokale dhe
qytetareve mbi ceshtjet e ambjentit dhe perfshirjen e publikut ne

- Aksione publike ne qytetet e mesiperme te cilat do t’i drejtohen
nje ceshtjeje mjedisore specifike per secilin nga qytetet
- Nje fushate mediatike informuese, ndergjegjesuese dhe mobilizuese
per qytetaret, nepermjet spoteve, broshurave, fletepalosjeve,

Dear friend,
During the month of May, the Mjaft Movement will engage in a
nation-wide campaign for the protection of the environment, aiming
at: (I) raising the awareness of citizens, and sparking their
interest on problems related to the environment; (II) changing the
behavior of citizens and encourage positive attitudes toward
environment; (III) mobilizing the communities to undertake volunteer
work, to keep their towns clean; (IV) facilitating the dialogue
between the citizens and the institutions, with the objective to
raise public participation in the decision-making process over
environment issues.
To achieve the above, MJAFT has planned to implement the following activities:
- A nation-wide Environment caravan, which will start in Tirana, and
travel to the towns of Shkodres, Rreshen, Peshkopia, Durres,
Pogradec, Berat, Vlora, Gjirokastra, Korca, and Fier.
- Public Forums in these towns, between the local authorities and the
citizens, over environment issues, and the public\'s involvement in
the decision-making process
- Public actions in these towns, which will address an environment
issue that is specific to each town
- A media campaign to inform, raise the awareness, and mobilize the
citizens, through commercials, brochures, flyers, articles, etc.
We are conscious that such undertaking requires responsibility, but
also new and original ideas.
This is why we are asking your cooperation in such an important initiative.
During the following days, we would like to invite you to think about
this initiative. We would be glad if you gave us suggestions about
products, which we will produce during this environment campaign.

The United Europe Scientific Forum (UESF) is an international conference organized by the Romanian Economics Students� Association � ASER � Romania.
This year, the main theme is �Predictions of our future: EU where to in 20 years?� and will bring into discussion important issues regarding the European Union in present or in the future.
WHY TO PARTICIPATE:
By applying to this international event, you will have the opportunity to express your ideas in a different environment.
Participants will have the chance to visit Bucharest as well as a small part of the country, towards the end of the event.
Requirements
The candidates are expected to submit a Working Paper, maximum 10 pages long plus annexes, on the following main themes:
