Research Tool

I would like to bring to your attention a very useful tool for research, academic work and not only. The International Humanitarian Law Research Initiative http://ihlresearch.org/ihl/portalhome.php
is a portal comprising of news articles, reports, judicial decisions, working papers and events information on humanitarian law, updated on a daily basis. It is an initiative of the Swiss government in collaboration with Harvard University's Program on Conflict Resolution.
There are also more specific portals, dealing with current events in Iraq: http://www.ihlresearch.org/iraq/ and the Occupied Palestinian Territories: http://www.ihlresearch.org/opt/.

All you need to do to be able to use the portals is to register -it is completely free and is used by the initiators only to get an idea about the nature of their readers. So far it is largely used by UN and other international organizations members, academics and NGO workers.

The advantage in using this exceptional resource is that you are ensured a better chance of objectivity, as well as thorough background and juridical research all put at your disposal.
Feel free to ask me should you have any questions. I strongly encourage you to take a look and keep this valuable tool in mind!

Best,
Silvia Suteu
