Application deadline: 11 February 2005

National agency of the YOUTH programme in United Kingdom in co-operation with The Regional Youth Work Unit are organising a Contact making seminar "Young people, citizenship and participation" to be held from 12 to 18 March 2005 in North East England.

The seminar will bring together youth workers from Programme countries as well as youth workers from all three groups of Partner countries (term used before was "third countries"). 15 participants from all Partner countries are envisaged to participate at this seminar.

The aim of the seminar is to provide youth workers coming from different countries and working with young people with the opportunity to advance their work in the field of citizenship and participation. The participants will also meet, learn about each other's provision and formulate working proposals for joint projects in the framework of the YOUTH programme. Youth workers directly involved in the programmes of work, which increase levels of participation and decision-making skills in young people are invited to apply.

The organisers will cover travelling and visa costs and costs related to accommodation, food and programme. Participants from Partner countries will not have to pay participation fee.
