Introduction
The College of Humanities in the University of Limerick is pleased to
announce the continuation of the successful Summer Schools in Irish
Studies, Irish Life and Literature (introducted in 2002), Irish Politics in
a Global Age (introducted in 2003) and Between Boston and Berlin
(introduced in 2004). I am pleased to announce the introduction of a fourth
option in June 2005, Visual Culture in Ireland 1400-1950. As all
options are offered simultaneously, students choose just one option.
These Summer Schools are being offered as a result of many requests by
students, academic colleagues, and friends in the United States of
America and elsewhere. We believe we have devised challenging and enjoyable
summer school options, which will combine academic rigour with
opportunities to experience contemporary life in Ireland and view some
spectacular scenery!
